While you're browsing online over the next few days before in-store shopping opens again you'll see we've added some new cozy flannel kits, a new runner called "Love Is In The Air", and some tea towel kits. In addition, the newest Kim Diehl collection is available for preorder.

Scrap Basket Favourites by Kim Diehl

Fat Eighth Bundle plus 4 patterns

Fat Quarter Bundle plus 8 patterns

For the 14th year, in conjunction with Henry Glass, Kim Diehl has released "The Simple Whatnots Club Collection" which are eight fun to sew small quilt patterns that are easy to start and just as easy to finish! With names like Topsy Turvy, In A Pickle, and Early Bird, the difficult part is choosing which one to make first!

Individual patterns are not for sale, but your purchase of a Fat Quarter bundle includes all eight patterns.

Included with the purchase of a Fat Eighth bundle are a random selection of four patterns from the Simple Whatnot Collection 14.

We may have to resort to our staff drawing straws to decide who gets to make which Simple Whatnot sample! They'll be on display in the shop as soon as we can get them finished!

Chatsworth by Doug Leko

Have you heard all the buzz around the latest Block of the Month pattern by Doug Leko? Are you part of that buzz? Have you already chosen your fabrics? Are you interested in an in-person class to work on this beautiful quilt?

There are 12 different pieced blocks in this pattern and the "magic happens in the setting of the quilt!". How about making some magic happen in the construction of the blocks themselves by learning how to "Tuckerize" the construction. If you are not familiar with the term "Tuckerize" it is part of Leianne's students daily vocabulary and involves using Deb Tucker's method of slightly oversizing the components of a block and trimming them down to achieve superb accuracy. You do not need any previous experience with the Studio 180 Rulers in order to join - Leianne will guide you through each step.

Please send us an email store@quilterscupboard.ca if you'd like more information on the exact dates and times that will be available.

From your beloved Editor ....

Many of you have questioned my description of Santa's reindeer as expressed in the Reindeer Games daily emails. Actually, it was only two of you but I have very little else to talk about so let's proceed under the pretext of "many". I stand by my "research" into each individual member of Santa's sleigh hauling team. Also, please keep in mind we are talking about mythical creatures - pretty sure I can't be wrong in my descriptions of animals that exist only in children's imaginations!

There is growing interest in my "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" sale proposal. From customers, not the staff. The staff are grappling with the logistics behind the idea! Details.. humph!

Hope to see you in the shop soon.
