I’ve lost track of the number of hours and kilometers I’ve logged driving my daughter to camps this summer. While I’m sick of driving, I don’t get tired of hearing about the adventures of random farm animals at Erin’s happy place, her riding stable. With school starting soon, I challenged Erin to write a short paragraph about this week’s latest animal adventure. Always quick with a comeback, she challenged me right back: “I will write a story but only if you put the animals in your email too”.
What’s a mother to do, when she’s trying to encourage her daughter to mentally prepare for back to school in a fun way?

Wilma and Betty are pigs who escaped their pen at camp this week and hilarity ensued. The donkeys, Barney and Lulu, were only too happy to cheer them on. Erin didn’t understand why I asked if there was a donkey named Fred (kids these days!).

While I don’t agree with their motivation, Wilma and Betty are eager to say “Goodbye to Summer” with a special promotion.
