“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
– Helen Keller
National Service Director Message

Our 2023/2024 Kin year is now in full swing and Kin Canada clubs have once again demonstrated an incredible passion for Serving the Community’s Greatest Need.

Whether it's taking part in community clean-ups, holding bottle drives, selling raffle tickets for draws, hosting "Trick or Trunk" events, or putting on themed colouring contests, the variety of service projects in the first few months of our new Kin year has been inspiring.

As we move into the holiday season, parades, craft sales, toy/food/clothing drives, tree sales, and Adopt-a-Family initiatives are well underway thanks to the dedication of Kin members.

This time of year it is evident how much of a role Kin members play in bringing joy to others over the holidays while also putting the personal needs of individuals and families at the forefront of our efforts.
Together, we are helping ensure vital needs are met within our communities and providing extra support to others throughout the cold seasons.

Thank you for all you do, Kin, to add warmth, joy, and holiday spirit to your communities.

Yours in Kin,

Sheila Laverty
National Service Director
Kin Canada
Thank you to clubs that have promoted Kin Canada Bursaries to students across Canada! So far, over 70 clubs will have applications to review from students in their region!

Don't forget: Applications are completed fully online by students. Your Club Executive will receive a link to all applications for your Selection Commitee to review in early February 2024.

In the meantime, please continue to promote the Kin Canada Bursaries application to students, schools, media, and other groups in your community. There are resources available on iKin to help you spread the word.
Please also consider hosting a fundraiser or making a donation to the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund this year; the Kin Canada Bursaries program relies on individual and club donations. All donations are greatly appreciated!

Canadian Blood Services (CBS)
Did you know? Through the CBS/Kin Canada Partner for Life ID program, Kin members (and others who have connected their donations to us) across Canada have donated over 10,000 units of blood since 2014!

The need for blood and platelet donations is forever ongoing. Canadian Blood Services always needs Kin's help to ensure blood and blood products are available to everyone who needs them. Kin's support with hosting or volunteering at blood clinics is also always appreciated.

With 7 months to go, Kin Canada is currently at 396 units out of the 1854 units pledged!
Cystic Fibrosis Canada
2024 marks the 60th anniversary of our partnership with Cystic Fibrosis Canada!

District 7 Service Director Brian Hastings has challenged his district's clubs to any annual donations to CF by $60 in celebration. Will your club accept D7's challenge, too?
