Little children are great teachers. Happy faces and kind little words do make you smile and heal your soul. We can learn a valuable lesson from these little ones. May we speak k ind and nurturing words to each other as we begin this new year.

Kind Words

Kind words can calm the spirit

And are like a warm bath to the soul.

So as I move throughout this day

This will be my number one goal.

To watch how I speak to those in my life

Knowing what damage my words can do.

For words can cut deep into another's heart

And I don't want to damage you.

So Lord, I'm asking for your help.

Please guard how I speak to others.

For my words can damage or can heal

When I speak to my fellow brothers.

In the challenging journey we call life

We all need much love and care.

So I'll support those on my path today

With kinds words that will heal- not tear.
