From the President
We all get the exact same 365 days.
The only difference is what we do with them.

Our 365-day, 50th year celebration has come to an end, but we sure did make it memorable with some fantastic fundraising for CCHMC! Welcome to the next semicentennial of making a difference! I hope 2022 is a wonderful, happy, and healthy year for you and your families. As you make your New Year’s Resolutions, don’t forget to add to your list volunteering for Kindervelt. That’s a resolution you don’t want to let fail; the work is so rewarding!
To ensure the leadership of our organization prospers, the Nominating Committee is now actively working on preparing a slate of Board of Trustees members and Citywide Event Chairs and Committees for 2022-2023. Please help in any way you can by sending in names of candidates for positions to our Nominating Chair, Nancy Groves-Van Buskirk, at kvnomchair@kindervelt.org. I have such a great group of BOT members to work with and we want to make sure Cindy Burger, President-Elect will as well when she takes over on June 1st!
Reflecting on 2021 I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful the Kindervelt year was despite so many hurdles along the way. I look forward to the next 5 months of continued dedication to fundraising for the children and presenting a sizable check at our Annual Meeting on May 18th. Check out all the great things happening in this edition and keep those creative juices flowing; you’re masters at it and your efforts are so appreciated!
Cheers to a great 2022!

Kindervelt's 50th Jubilee
Celebrating 50 years of Making a Difference
|
|
Final numbers are still being worked on but it currently stands that the 50th Jubilee raised over $78,000!
A commemorative ornament was created for our 50th Jubilee. It is a two sided 3.75" porcelain ornament in a bisque finish, $12 each. If you would like one, please let Mary Beth Young know by January 15th. Hopefully the sale will still be going on. Email at meyoung@me.com to order or for questions.
For all that donated, don't forget to submit a matching gift request form through your company if offered. Great way to "Double your donation." Still want to honor Kindervelt's past 50 years? Possibly with a $50 donation for 50 years? Of course, anything helps.

KV #68 sends a Special Thanks to the members of KV 68 for their generous donations to our Christmas Family. They were so appreciative of all that we did for them. It is always better to give than to receive!
