Complete Your Fall Wellness Activities!

This is not a traditional year in almost every way, so it is not a surprise that the annual Wellness Activities are a bit different.

To be a Wellness Participant and earn $25 each month in 2021, faculty and staff need to enroll in a Benelect Medical plan and then complete the NEW Health Risk Assessment (HRA).
AND complete TWO of the following THREE activities:
  1. Biometric Screening at a Quest Patient Service Center or via the Physician Results Form (PRF). We will NOT be able to offer biometric screening on campus this fall.
  2. Tobacco Attestation Form in HCM (Note: You may have to click the "Add Next Benefit Year" button at the bottom of the screen to get the 2021 Tobacco Attestation form.)
  3. Primary Care Provider Attestation Form in HCM

WALKTOBER is Coming Back!
Fall is a wonderful time to get outside and become more active.
So we have brought back Walktober, a month-long physical activity challenge for faculty and staff.
Starting October 1, participants will record their daily steps through the Walktober website or app or by syncing their wearable. There are opportunities to form teams, or go it alone. And, we will offer prizes for a random drawing of those who successfully meet the goals of the program.
Join the challenge and get out to enjoy those fall colors!

Clean up your neighborhood park, Doan Creek, or even find donation items in your closet to participate in National Clean Up Day(s) at CWRU starting September 18.

Curious About Meditation? Try Our Intro Class!
Those new to meditation or who want to refresh their practice, may join us for this 8-week class covering the fundamentals of meditation. Benefits of a consistent meditation practice include improved sleep, lower blood pressure, and reduced stress response. This series will include discussions of research on meditation and neuroscience along with practical tips for starting and sustaining your practice. Participants will learn multiple approaches to meditating including mantra, affirmation, mindful awareness, and loving kindness.
