Greetings!

We were thrilled to ring in the New Year by walking alongside the 2026 Kindness is Free float at the 137th Tournament of Roses Parade.

Rain or shine, our Kindness is Free members - Nicolas from Ocean View Jr. High, Leo, Anayereli, and Ethan from the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center, and Selena from the Port Hueneme Teen Center - showed up with pride and purpose, demonstrating the true magic of teamwork!

Together, they represented our Kindness is Free program and our shared commitment to Building Kinder Communities - a powerful reminder of what’s possible when young people lead with heart and purpose.

Kindness is Free, a program powered by the Boys & Girls Club, turns compassion into action.

Through school pop-ups, mental health workshops at our Clubs, and hands-on community outreach such as feeding unhoused neighbors, our youth learn that kindness is something you do, not just something you believe.

We are deeply grateful to Kindness is Free visionary Lori Milgard and the Skylight Foundation for creating this program, which empowers young people to lead with empathy and build stronger, more connected communities.
