The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has published three technical papers authored and co-authored by eleven Kineticorp professionals.  

 

William Neale, Gray Beauchamp and Neal Carter presented these papers this week at the SAE 2013 World Congress & Exhibition in Detroit. 

     

"Video Projection Mapping Photogrammetry through Video Tracking"

This paper examines a method for generating a scaled three-dimensional computer model of an accident scene from video footage.  

 

"A Comparison of 25 High Speed Tire Disablements Involving Full and Partial Tread Separations"

In this study, the results of 25 full and partial tire tread separation tests, conducted with a variety of vehicles at highway speeds, are reported.

 

"Using Data from a DriveCam Event Recorder to Reconstruct a Vehicle-to-Vehicle Impact"

This paper reports a method for analyzing data from a DriveCam unit to determine impact speeds and velocity changes in vehicle-to-vehicle impacts.

Gray Beauchamp (above) was a speaker at the ABA's 
2013 Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Liability Litigation
in Phoenix.  Gray's presentation was titled "Comparing the Controllability of Various Modes of Tire Disablement."
  
Steve Fenton Will Bortles  
Steve Fenton and Will Bortles made a presentation to a corporate claims management team on April 10 entitled "Emergency Response, Accident Investigation and Preserving Event Data." 
        
Neal CarterNeal Carter completed the "Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) System Analysis and Applications Course."  Neal will also be presenting "The Reliability of Crash-Triggered Video and Data Recorders for Accident Reconstruction" at the 2013 ARC-CSI Crash Conference, May 13-16 in Las Vegas.

Tilo Voitel completed the course "Preserving and Analyzing Information from Heavy Vehicle EDR's," Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, March 4-8, 2013.
