This month Luisa shares personal questions and concerns about her future and what role on-site work based learning opportunities provided by employers can play in her ultimately choosing and achieving a high opportunity career.

We help young people, especially those furthest from opportunity, envision and

achieve high opportunity careers in our regional economy.

As a regional hub for career connected learning we

• increase equitable participation,
• build network capacity, and 
• champion a cohesive and responsive regional ecosystem



through a collaborative network of K-12, higher education, industry, labor, and community-based organizations.

We are a resource to support innovative career-connected work led by community organizations, employers, schools, labor, and others across King and Pierce Counties.

We also invite you to engage with us in developing a career connected learning system with pathways to self-sufficiency and career fulfillment for all young people. Initiatives:

Career Exploration: Worksite Tours

We partner with Challenge Seattle, WABS, regional employers, and school districts to conduct broad-scale worksite tours for students furthest from opportunity.

Career Prep: Career Prep Accelerator

We convene partner school districts and stakeholders to build system capacity to equitably scale internship experiences for high school students.

Career Launch: Program Support

We foster partnerships, co-design programs, and provide technical support to develop career connected pathways to high opportunity careers through Career Launch.

BRAC: BIPOC-led Regional Advisory Council

BRAC nonprofit CEOs help us center community voice, advise on system issues, and expand funding opportunities to equitably scale career connected learning.

Building a Continuum of Career Connected Learning Experience

With your help, before the high school class of 2030 is 30 years old 

  100%  of students will complete Career Explore and Career Prep activities

  060%  of students will complete a Career Launch program

Funding Available for Building Career Connected Learning Programs

Interested in building or expanding a career connected learning program? Funding is now available for Program Builders to design, implement, and/or expand Career Explore, Career Prep, and Career Launch programs.

First step: Contact the Regional Network to share and consult on your idea, gain technical assistance on your proposal, and explore connections with other program builders and career connected learning partners.
