Summer Break is Here!
After 20 selfless years of service, Mr. Baier leaves us with a few final words.....

Dear RPA Family,

I wanted to take this one final opportunity to express my sincerest gratitude and best wishes to all of you. Words alone cannot express what the past twenty years has meant to me to have been a part of this great RPA family. So many blessings and so many “mini-miracles” along the way!

First, thank you teachers for your steadfast commitment to the children. Day in and day out, your tireless service and sacrifice has had, and I know will continue to have, a huge and eternal impact on the young lives under your care.

Parents, thank you for your commitment to RPA and thank you for the great examples of love that you have given to all of us. You want what is best for your children, and that’s why you chose RPA. Thank you for trusting us to support you in this great effort to prepare our children for the future and for eternal life.

Students, I want to thank you for being the children of God that He created you to be. I thank you for what you represent – a future with hope! Always remember, “Without God, you can do nothing, but with Him you can do all things!”

Last, I thank my wife and children for the many sacrifices they have made in support of RPA’s mission. I am sorry for the many times that I wasn’t present to you, physically and/or mentally, but I promise to do better, starting now.

I would like to leave you with one final story that I recently shared at the 8th grade graduation. It’s a fitting story to conclude with after this crazy year as it shows how God works through the difficult trials of life:
Once there was a man who was shipwrecked on a deserted, uncharted island. He built a crude hut to protect himself and his few remaining possessions and foraged for food as best he could. One day while he was out fishing, his hut was hit by lightning and burst into flames. With no way to put out the fire, the cast-away was left with nothing but ashes. He yelled at God, “How could you let this happen to me! Now I’ve lost everything!” After he calmed down, he realized that he needed God more than ever before, and he repented. He then surrendered himself completely to God. Hours later, a ship came by and sent a rescue team to his island. Once aboard the ship he asked, “How did you know I was here?” The captain replied, “We saw your smoke signal.” Thus, God is at work even through our trials and the difficult experiences that we don’t understand. When you and I are faced with the “shipwrecks and lightning bolts” of life, we need to know that sometimes it’s not until our resources are utterly spent, as when the man’s hut went up in smoke, that we need to completely turn to God and surrender. He will come in ways that we do not expect.”

I hope everyone has a great summer and I look forward to seeing you next year as a fellow parent. I can be reached by email at [email protected] as I continue to serve families across the state of Florida. Please keep me in your prayers as I will certainly keep you in mine.

In His service,

Scott Baier

OUR LADY OF GOOD HEALTH
“O Lady of Good Health,

our Merciful Father chose you to be a powerful intercessor in times of trouble and woe.
As in past centuries when you have ended contagious diseases, we implore you now to end the Coronavirus which is damaging the health of many and spreading fear in our communities.
Teach us not to be afraid, to be courageous and generous in offering assistance to others, and to live joyfully in the state of grace.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”
