Green Team Lunchroom Help

Kingsley is entering its 2nd year of lunchroom composting and recycling, and while most students in the school will be familiar with the process, it may be all new to some students.

Please consider volunteering for lunch duty to lend a hand at the sorting station. (This means anything from reminding students to take their straws out of their milk or organize their trays before leaving the table, to helping them stand in line and wait patiently, to actually walking through the waste line with them and helping them sort.) Here is a link to a very helpful video that all of our students will be viewing.

The lunch staff did an amazing job with the students last year, but they are always grateful for extra hands! Sign up here for lunchroom help.

Feel free to contact Lynne Hayes (773-988-2227) if you have any questions or if you'd like to join the green team at Kingsley.

Thank you from the Kingsley Green Team!

Kingsley Book Closet Needs Your Books!

We are looking for book donations to stock this year's Book Closet, which begins next month.
For those who are new to Kingsley, the Book Closet is a book "store" in which kids choose books to take home. The Book Closet is kept alive by book donations from Kingsley families and teachers, funds from the PTA, and time from volunteers.

Coming to school for Curriculum Night? Bring those books in when you come! Please place books in the donation cabinet, just outside the Kingsley library.

No time to drop off? Email Jenn Miller at jennmiller14@yahoo.com and she'll arrange to pick up the books from your home.
