Join or Renew Your Membership in the Kingsley PTA

Did you know that volunteers and funds raised by the Kingsley Parent Teacher Association (PTA) help to make possible many of the educational enrichment and community-building programs at Kingsley? It takes a village and we need your input, ideas and help to make the Kingsley community the best it can be for each and every child.

Our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday, September 17th at 6:30 PM. All are welcome at PTA meetings, but only PTA members can vote on PTA business.

Join or renew your membership online, or download a paper version here (also available in the school lobby). The individual membership fee is $10 and we also offer a Free Membership (paper form only). We hope you will join us!
Kindergarten Parents & Caregivers

Are you available to help our youngest Comets during their lunch at Kingsley?  If so, please consider signing up to serve as a lunch and recess helper.

You'll be assisting the students while they get the hang of opening their lunch containers, learning the lunch and recess routine and properly using our cafeteria waste station.  It's a great way see your kindergartener in action and get to know the other students.  Younger siblings are welcome.
Green Team Lunchroom Help

Kingsley is entering its 2nd year of lunchroom composting and recycling, and while most students in the school will be familiar with the process, it may be all new to some students.

Please consider volunteering for lunch duty to lend a hand at the sorting station. (This means anything from reminding students to take their straws out of their milk or organize their trays before leaving the table, to helping them stand in line and wait patiently, to actually walking through the waste line with them and helping them sort.) Here is a link to a very helpful video that all of our students will be viewing.

The lunch staff did an amazing job with the students last year, but they are always grateful for extra hands! Sign up here for lunchroom help.

Feel free to contact Lynne Hayes (773-988-2227) if you have any questions or if you'd like to join the green team at Kingsley.

Thank you from the Kingsley Green Team!

ESCCA - Volunteers Needed

ESCCA (Evanston School Children's Clothing Association) provides cold weather clothing to District 65 families in need so that no child in Evanston has to miss a day of school due to lack of proper clothes.

Kingsley has a donation box for cold weather clothing only located outside the gym. If you have gently used or new clothing to donate please follow the donation guidelines posted with the donation box. Additionally, Kingsley is responsible for staffing three SERVE dates where volunteers assist children and their families at the ESCCA center at JEH 1500 McDaniel Ave. It's a fantastic way to give back to the community, so please sign up for one of our SERVE dates if you are able.

If you have any questions or want additional information, please contact Katie Spero ([email protected]) or Tami Yeager ([email protected]).
