WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE SCHOOL PROGRAM?
Exploring history in Haddonfield
A community outing to Haddonfield brought students to the historic Indian King Tavern Museum. Kingsway Community Based Instruction students Grace, Alexia, and Paige, along with Donna Hadsall, Job Coach, enjoyed a tour of the tavern from their guide, Michelle. Dating back to the 1700s, this tavern and lodging is steeped in history. In 1903, it became New Jersey's first State Historic Site. Photo: Alexia, left, listens as guide Michelle explains "Shut the Box," a game that was popular in the 18th century.

of giving

Students from Eileen Sullivan's Jr. High class shopped for and dropped off gifts for the Toys for Tots toy drive. Photo, from left: Justin, Jayden, and Genny drop their special gifts at the collection box at Jersey Mike's.

Some friendly competition
Natalie Dalesandro's Preschool class enjoyed some spontaneous, friendly competition in gym class: a race! Photo, from left: Aide Jacqueline Osbourne with MaLani, Ms. Dalesandro with Ethan, and Aide Lauren DePietropolo with Ronan.
Lessons in thorough cleaning
Teacher Jenn Dovi used a unique approach to teaching her Community Based Instruction students how to clean thoroughly: paint! "We learned how to properly clean tables and windows by first painting them with watered down tempera paint," says Ms. Dovi. "Once the paint dried, we washed the tables and windows and made sure all the paint was cleaned off." Photo: Korinne gives a table a good scrub.

Music Teacher Janice DeLozier, left, keeps the beat steady with Zach, Jackson and Aide John Merlino, and Joey during music class.
Danielle Whinna's class ventured out to Color Me Mine for some creative expression. Darcie, left, and Trevor chose their clay pieces and carefully painted them.

AT THE ADULT PROGRAM
The sweaters rule!

Where there are more than two holiday sweaters, you know there's a contest! All the Adult Program clients looked festive and had fun showing off their holiday best.
