AN EXTRA SPECIAL DAY!
Thank you,
Kingsway Home & School!
|
Thanks to our caring, hard-working Home & School Association, Kingsway Learning Center has a new mascot--a big, sweet, kind-hearted cougar! Our new school pal recently hitched a ride on a Voorhees Fire truck and was introduced to students and staff, to everyone's delight. The Kingsway cougar will appear at events and activities throughout the year. Thank you, Home & School, for bringing so much joy to the students! Photo, above: Jacob, left, and Brennen, right, meet a new friend, who will be officially named early in the new year. Below: our mascot in the news!

AT THE ADULT PROGRAM
A Sweet Election Day!
|
In honor of Election Day, clients in the Adult Program experienced voter registration and casting a ballot. There were no heated debates and no campaigning, but the topic at issue did get a bit sticky. The election question: Cupcakes or donuts? The results were in the next day: donuts win! Photo, from left: Direct Support Professionals MaryAnn Richardson and Janie Calhoun watch as Laura casts her ballot.
|
Folding flyers, stuffing envelopes, sorting objects, and working on the computer keep Adult Program clients on their toes, working on these skills several times a month. Photos: Right, Chadd learns how to safely use a letter opener; below, Victoria works on folding and stuffing envelopes; bottom, Evan finds a Bruce Springsteen video as he navigates the internet.
