Traffic Signal Repairs Scheduled
HOUSTON - Mayor Pro Tem Martin would like to make Kingwood residents aware Houston Public Works - Traffic Operations will be replacing the traffic cabinet at Kingwood Drive and W Lake Houston Pkwy overnight on Saturday, February 18th. This date and time were chosen with the goal of reducing the impact on traffic.

Traffic Operations staff investigated the Kingwood Drive & W Lake Houston Pkwy intersection and they found electrical damage throughout the cabinet. Crews have made temporary repairs in the meantime to keep the traffic signal operating until the cabinet is replaced.

Mayor Pro Tem Martin Martin would like to thank the Kingwood residents who assisted in reporting these traffic signal issues affecting the Kingwood Area using the 3-1-1 system. Our office understands and takes very seriously any traffic signal outages as they immediately impact the quality of life and create a possibility for safety hazards.

Please don’t forget every time you come across issues in the community (flashing traffic signal, pothole, downed tree, etc.) to contact Houston 3-1-1 by calling (713) 837-0311, writing down your service request number, and follow up by emailing your service request number to DistrictE@houstontx.gov. This is important because it establishes and supports a history for the problem which allows us to work towards bigger repairs and higher priority.

For more information, please contact Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin's office at (832) 393-3008 or districte@houstontx.gov.
