PlayGrand Adventures Parking Concerns

We have received a few emails and phone calls concerning overflow parking from the new PlayGrand Adventures park at the corner of Warrior Trail and Waterwood Drive. As I'm sure you know, street parking issues on residential public roadways is not something the Association can enforce.

However, we know it is very frustrating when you have to deal with an overabundance of vehicles coming into the area. We reached out to the City of Grand Prairie to see if they can install no parking signs and or to see if the Police could increase coverage in the area.

Thankfully we received an email back pretty quick. We were advised that the city will install "No Parking" signs along Epic Place and Warrior Trail, however they cannot install "No Parking" signs along residential streets within the Association without 100% petition of the property owners except 50 Feet from the intersection of Highvalley Trail to Epic Place.

A work order was issued by the City for the "No Parking" signs to be installed just as soon as the new sound wall fences are completed along with the new sidewalks going in, the city fears the contractors will simply knock them over if they install them now.

City officials also believe the crowds will start to lessen in the coming weeks. The City of Grand Prairie has also issued a notice to GPPD to watch for people parking in the neighborhood as there are 45 dedicated parking places within the facility which should be used along with a shuttle service from The Epic.

Please understand that if you continue to see vehicles parking within the neighborhood you must reach out to the City to voice your concerns. It is recommend you call the Non Emergency Police Dispatch to report immediate cases of vehicles parking on residential streets to visit PlayGrand. If you're interested in having "No Parking" signs placed along your specific residential roadway you must contact the city to start the petition process.

No Trespassing
Please keep children, pets and motorized vehicles away from the edges of both ponds. The large pond is deep and the slopes are steep. If you see anyone camping or fishing near either pond, call the police. Trespassing is against the law.

Signs are posted around both ponds to reduce KCVA's liability in the case of accidental injury or drowning.
