l. She joined the Kirk Family YMCA about a year ago, after her Dr. told her she was at risk of a heart attack or stroke because of her weight. She joined the Y the next day, and has lost 112 pounds since!
Renita credits the strong support system and fun Group Exercise classes at the Y to her successful fitness journey. Since joining the Y she no longer needs her blood pressure pills, doesn't have knee issues and can clean her home without being out of breath! She enjoys hiking at the Cascades and Mill Mountain, as well as Body Step, Functional Fitness and Zumba classes. Instead of skipping water fun while vacationing in New England as she normally would, she decided to jump right in this time around!
