Happy New Year to All! We hope you have enjoyed your time with family and friends.
With the start of a new decade, comes new visions for Kitchen Tech. We have always kept up with industry trends and cutting edge designs and services. We will continue to do that by opening two design centers. In collaboration with Appropriate Homes we have opened a new design center in Eastham so that we can better serve our "Down Cape" customers with full service remodeling services, design, and custom renovations. The address is 4205 State Highway Route 6A in Eastham unit 7, phone number 774-316-4760.
We are also relocating Kitchen Tech, INC. to a new design studio in Sandwich. It has a more intimate feel, which we love. Our route 130 store will be open until February. It is a little messy right now due to the move, but we are here. We plan to continue to be a part of the Sandwich community at 28 Route 6A (Rear) in the TIACC building. Our phone number still remains the same, 508-888-2494. More details to come in the next few months. We are grateful to be again awarded the Best of Sandwich Kitchen Planning and Remodeling Service Award 2016-2019. Thank you all for voting for us.
Our suppliers promise us new and exciting cabinets, counter tops and more. Let us know how we can help. Remember any referral earns you a $100 gift certificate!!!
We have a few displays and items we are selling at the 130 showroom. A granite vanity top, vanities and more at huge discounts. See us on Facebook or call the showroom for more details.

 2020 Trends

2020 is here, and so are some new and exciting kitchen and bath trends.

Calming Blues
Pantone pick for the color of the year is classic blue. According to their website classic blue "instills calm, confidence and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era." This timeless color can be used as a pop of color in a bathroom vanity or as an over color choice for cabinets.

 Comfortable Minimalism
Minimalism doesn't have to mean sparse style or cutting down on function. Minimalism means something different to everyone. A minimalist kitchen might mean to you having tons of storage to allow counter tops to be cleared off, and to another it might mean lots of clean lines in cabinets and appliances.
Integrated appliances are starting to become more popular because they represent a minimalist aesthetic. They help to seamlessly disappear bulky appliances giving a kitchen a very streamlined look.

Warm Wood Grains
Wood countertops can add a mix of warmth and comfort to a kitchen space. Although butcher blocks are easy to care for, you do need to clean up spills to prevent staining. With a monthly oil/wax combo they can be gleaming for years.

Food Waste

Many New Years resolutions have to do with saving money. Having an organized fridge can help with this food and money waste.

The first step is to make sure your fridge is at an ideal temperature, which is at and around 40 Degrees Fahrenheit. Any colder and it can freeze salad greens and berries, and any warmer can let meat spoil.  The refrigerator doors are the warmest location, so these need to store foods that don't spoil easily. This is a great spot for salad dressings and sandwich condiments.  The coldest area in a fridge is usually the bottom shelf. Keep foods that spoil easily on this level, like meat, eggs and milk.
The crisper drawers are the perfect places to store fruits and vegetables.

The EPA recommends using your freezer more to help with leftover food. When you make a large meal, freeze whatever you don't eat at the first meal, this will be perfect solution for a hectic dinner later.

Buying less at the grocery store and going shopping more frequently will help you know what you are needing. This will help with over purchasing.
 Winter Savings

When you purchase a full kitchen in January, Kitchen Tech will give you a Kohler Bellera faucet and matching soap dispenser

Featured Recipe
Oven Roasted Broccoli

1 head of broccoli
Olive Oil spray
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Cut the broccoli into bite size pieces and place on a cookie sheet.  Spray the broccoli with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast the broccoli for 20 minutes. The broccoli florets should just start to have a charred look at the tips. This is also delicious with garlic and lemon juice.
