As the summer quickly comes to an end, we continue to work closely with our business community to both support and commend them as they carry on to work through the still changing environment. Many of our young adults in the community returned to college and FCPS students returned to the classroom. Many organizations, community groups and businesses that put events and meetings on a summer hiatus (including OED) are resuming these scheduled activities or launching new ones. Be sure to check out our events page for the full listing.

Other business highlights include Catoctin Mountain Orchard and Moo Cow Creamery in the third blog about those who received the County’s Agriculture Innovation Grant. Finally, find out which businesses were given the coveted title of the Best Places to Work for 2021.
Be sure to join us at the Great Frederick Fair as we honor the 2021 Farm Family of the Year, Ag Business of the Year, Ag Advocate of the Year and Young Farmer of the Year on Friday September 17th. Throughout the week stop by Building 13 for the Homegrown Frederick Winery, Brewery, Distillery Showcase and support our local craft beverage businesses. New this year we are excited to be working with City Streets Country Roads to host a “Taste of Homegrown Frederick” featuring local farmers throughout the week. We know you’ll find something that will make you say “that’s why I love Frederick County.”
