MOST SUCCESSFUL RESERVOIR RUN EVER!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped us achieve our most successful Reservoir Run EVER!

Last week, President Harry thanked all members who pitched in on race day for the 14th Reservoir Run and on social media promotion before the event, and glimpsed record-breaking runner registration numbers.

The success of the Reservoir Run is the result, of course, of more than intense preparation in the weeks and days before, but a year-long marathon (pun intended) by dedicated members. At the risk of unintentional omission, Kiwaniscope below attempts to recognize the individual, behind-the-scenes, contributions of these members.

SPONSOR ACQUISITION

Sponsors are the reason we have proceeds to share with our beneficiaries. The economics of the Reservoir Run are that the runners' fees cover our fixed and variable costs. It is the sponsors that provide the funds that allow us to do the good things we do.

Sponsor acquisition is one of the earliest and least visible activities of the Reservoir Run. The team this year included Harvey Luft, Harry Spencer, Amy Jenner, Tom Watson, Dallas Kersey, Harry Falber, Phyllis Gary, Marty Schiavone, Keith Johnson, Reed Ameden, Bob Uzenoff, and Tom Johnson.

CORE TEAM

Leading up to the event, the huge job of planning and executing largely fell to a core team that met regularly, often on Zoom on Monday evenings, to plan everything and often executed on advance matters. Huge credit is due Harry Spencer, Harry Falber, Steve Hass, Frank Ferarra, Steve Thomas, Dave Burns, Karen Chrisley, Phyllis Gary, Reed Amaden, Tom Watson, Tom Failla, Dan Gilbert, Geoff Hollander, and Harvey Luft.

FLYER DISTRIBUTION

Dan Gilbert led flyer distribution in recent years and wishes to recognize Harvey Luft, Harry Spencer, Tom Johnson, Steve Thomas, Reed Ameden, Dave Burns, and Hutch.
