COAT DRIVE TO KEEP KIDS WARM
by Frank Ferrara, Community Service Committee
$20 KEEPS A CHILD WARM!
We are doing a coat drive for needy children, assisting Operation Head Start in Norwalk.
The demand this year is higher. We need 138 coats.
The foundation board has already appropriated $1,000 to purchase coats, but we need a little more.
Some Kiwanians have already committed to contribute. THANK YOU!
With a simple $20 donation, we can purchase at least one coat and ensure that a child stays warm.
I will be collecting at this Saturday's meeting. Please just text me at (718) 954-4055 or email me with your commitment, and I can always get the money from you at a later time.
FRANKly speaking........ I do not enjoy being cold, and I surely do not want a child to be cold either, so please help us keep these children warm.
Stay Safe, Healthy, and Warm!

You can also make a tax-deductible donation by check by mail, or by credit card online. Visit the donate page using the button below for mailing instructions or to donate by credit card online, choosing the option "1) Use my gift for the children's winter coat drive."

NEW ENGLAND AND BERMUDA DISTRICT | |
Representatives of our division, Division 20 (Bridgeport, Danbury, Fairfield, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton), were called to caucus last Tuesday for the purpose of electing a lieutenant governor for 2023/2024. Members unanimously elected Karl A. Uzcategui to lieutenant governor.
The division is excited to have such a qualified and enthusiastic leader step forward for this important position, recently vacant. Past lieutenant governors from Weston include founder Warren Joblin (with distinction), Norm Henderson, Reg Bowden, and Tom Glass.
Kiwaniscope will feature more information and plans from Karl in future issues.
