LAST WEEK

By Harry Falber

It's a rare day when a Kiwanian can fill a whole table full of new-to-Kiwanis guests, but we were fortunate to share this past Saturday's breakfast with two new potential members, Debbie Rose, and Geoff Hollander and our partners in this coming Sunday's Weston Car Classic, Cort Moritz, and Igor Veligov and their sons who spoke about the charities they have founded and support on behalf of children - All Kids Moving Forward and Reid's Wolf Pack, and 25-year Weston resident, Peter Liguori. Their efforts and ours almost seem as if they were made for each other.

Speaking of the Weston Car Classic, we need volunteers for this Sunday's event as it is proving to be a massive hit - an undertaking that will really need our support. Please let Reed Ameden know if you'll lend a hand on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Weston school campus.

Cort Moritz (left), affiliated with this coming Sunday's Weston Car Classic, spoke at last week's meeting, following an address by Igor Veligov, right, with his son and program beneficiary the program, Luciane, of All Kids Moving Forward, beneficiary of the Classic.

President-designate Tom Watson and Harry' Falber (center) are pictured above with Geoff Hollander and Cort Moritz (left) and Igor Veligov and Peter Liguori (right) guests at last week's meeting. Not pictured is Debbie Rose, an attorney and more famously known as Lachat Town Farm's goatherd.
