Yiddish Culture Links

Enjoy Melokhe - Melukhe (Works - Wealth). Lyrics and music by folk poet Zelik Berdichever sung by Chava Alberstein, Israeli singer and composer. The song is about the hard work of artisans. The accompanying video presents the works of Jewish artists Yehuda Pen, Marc Chagall, and Illex Beller.

Hatikvah Music is going out of business after 35 years. They are offering rock-bottom prices on thousands of CDs and some DVDs of klezmer, Yiddish, Israeli, Ladino, Mizrachi, and children's music.

• Go to http://hatikvahmusic.com/

• Click on each item that interests you and write down the artist's name and five digit "order number."

• Do NOT click "submit order" because that will not work. Write [email protected]. Tell Simon that KlezCalifornia sent you!

• Simon will get back to you with prices and you can then choose what to order.
