Veretski Pass presents a concert of formerly lost melodies of pre-Holocaust, traditional Ukrainian-Jewish music, as well as dances from Ukraine. This new program combines traditional folk resources from Ukraine with new compositions by Veretski Pass.
Before the concert, enjoy "Under the Hood," a 30-minute talk with violinist/ violist, scholar and teacher Cookie Segelstein, who will explore ways musicians can balance old-school research and learning with digital resources. Her lecture is supported by a grant from KlezCalifornia's Yiddish Culture Fund.

Enjoy Melokhe - Melukhe (Works - Wealth). Lyrics and music by folk poet Zelik Berdichever sung by Chava Alberstein, Israeli singer and composer. The song is about the hard work of artisans. The accompanying video presents the works of Jewish artists Yehuda Pen, Marc Chagall, and Illex Beller.
