FISHING REPORT FOR THE KLONDIKE IX

WHAT A WAY TO START OUR

SEASON!

What a weekend! We started off with squid Friday evening, catching a decent amount with a slow pick all night. Unfortunately it wasn’t as productive as we had hoped for due to the full moon. Next week we anticipate will be better and we will be targeting them again Sat evening.

Saturday we targeted fluke catching a nice amount of keepers, with a bunch of really nice sea bass mixed in which were safely released. We also caught a couple of beautiful weakfish.

Today (Sunday) we targeted porgies which was drop and stick fishing. We had a full boat limit by 11am and headed back to the dock early, giving the guys enough time to clean all of the fish.

It was a fantastic weekend and it’s only going to get better from here! Boy are we glad to be back on the water!

The Pelagic Beast is a 32 foot Downeast style with a 12 foot beam, and head (bathroom). This boat has a cruising speed of 20 knots and comfortably fishes six passengers and three crew members. She will handle almost any weather the Northeast throws at us.

The Pelagic Beast II has been designed so you can fish in the utmost comfort. She is a 40 foot Jersey Dawn sport fisherman custom outfitted with top of the line equipment and comfortably fishes 6 passengers and 2 crew members. She has the following amenities: Heated and air conditioned cabin, Full galley, Head with shower, a custom Bose stereo system, and underwater lighting. She is outfitted with state of the art Furuno electronics, fish-finder , GPS and radar matched with Seeker rods and Avet reels. She also has an 8 person life raft and EPIRB system for your safety.
