What's Knew? Our Marquetry Saws!
At long last, Lee and Brian’s last collaboration is done. The Marquetry saw is available. Each one is hand built to order. Unlike a traditional marquetry chevalet, these saws incorporate blade clamps that can swivel on the fly, in the same manner as the legendary Fenner patent saw from the 1880’s. Except ours has ball bearings to make sure the action is smooth and easy. It also has ball bearings on the guide rod, so the reciprocating action is silky smooth. The rotate-on-the-fly clamps let you cut a profile into your packet without moving the packet at all.

Jess from Gorjess Jewellery has been running her jewellery business since 2011, learning as she goes, and creating fun and unique designs along the way while using our Mk.III Fret Saw with screw tension.

She started out making items that she would enjoy wearing, such as puzzle pieces and animal shapes. She would show off each new design to friends and colleagues, gradually selling more and more items. It was at this point she entertained the idea of trying to make a living from it and left her day job to run Gorjess Jewellery full time in 2012.

She hasn’t looked back since!
