Warren County Property Value Update | |
This week, the Warren County Auditor distributed updated property values to all residences as part of a comprehensive reappraisal across the county that happens every 6 years.
On average, home values have risen by 27.2% during the prior 3-year period. However, it's important to note that this increase does not directly translate to a 27.2% rise in property taxes.
The operating levies voted on by Kings do not escalate collections based solely on increased home values, resulting in minimal tax increases compared to property appreciation. Consequently, Kings experiences limited growth in operating revenue as a result of these valuation changes.
Auditor Nolan stated that your property taxes will go up 5% on average in Kings due to the 27.2% home value increase.
Our community also approved a bond levy to build a new high school, an addition to Columbia Intermediate, and other district-wide improvements in March 2024 that will start being collected in 2025.
The District’s financing team has worked collaboratively with Auditor Nolan to validate the district’s commitment to phase in the bond levy collections to reduce the burden on our community. The community will pay $123 per year for every $100,000 of home value in addition to existing bond levies to pay for the new bond levy beginning in 2025.
Click here for instructions on how to check your new property tax estimate from the Warren County Auditor.

We want to remind all families that October 7-11 is the annual count week for our transportation department.
Kings receives funding from the state of Ohio based in part on each student that rides the bus during this period. Last year, Kings received $376 for each student who rode during count week.
We encourage our students to ride October 7-11 if they plan to ride throughout the year!

During the tour, the students learned the technical aspects of food styling, lighting, and composition, guided by RHP’s expert team. They were introduced to high-end equipment and the intricate process of making food look irresistible for packaging and advertisements. The visit allowed students to see firsthand how professionals create stunning visuals for top-tier clients like Blue Bunny and Kroger.
Students got a rare behind-the-scenes look into the art of photographing ice cream. The professional team at RHP shared the technical and creative tricks needed to capture the perfect ice cream shot. Students watched as RHP experts demonstrated how to style the ice cream to maintain its shape, applying various techniques. Careful use of reflectors highlighted the creamy texture while balancing the lighting to make the dessert pop on screen. As the students took turns behind the camera, they gained hands-on experience with the professional equipment, learning how to translate food into a visual story that evokes taste and indulgence.
RHP showcased their use of a robotic arm, similar to those used in high-end productions like The Mandalorian, to capture precise, cinematic shots. In an effort to be "green," the District does not send paper flyers home. We use a platform called Peachjar that houses flyers of community programs and resources.
Parents receive approved flyers via email, and they are posted on our digital flyerboard for easy retrieval. Any organization can distribute information to our community by creating an account!
