GK's Message
Brother Knights,

I hope you and you families continue to be safe and healthy.

There hasn't been much to report for the Council this past couple of weeks other than the review of applications for our Cpl. Ken Logsdon Memorial Scholarship at Las Positas College. Planning for the RCCBB event is still going on looking at both possibilities of continuing with the event or what needs to be done should we end up cancelling it. We have also started the transition process to the new leadership team for the next Columbian year.

On that note, I would like to give you a heads up that we will have our May Business Meeting as scheduled on Thursday, May 7 at 7:00pm. We will do it virtually. The main items to discuss will be the status of the remaining scheduled events for this year and WDGK Walter will present the calendar, budget and slate of officers for next year. We need to go over these items so we can vote on it in the June meeting.

I will send out the link for the May meeting along with the newsletter next week.

I look forward to talking to you all soon.

Vivat Jesus!

Prayer for Protection Against COVID-19
God our Father,
We come to you in our need
To ask your protection against the COVID-19 Virus,
That has claimed lives and has affected many.

We pray for your grace
For the people tasked with studying the nature and cause
Of this virus and its disease
And of stemming the tide of its transmission.
Guide the hands and minds of medical experts
That they may minister to the sick
With competence and compassion,
And of those governments and private agencies
That must find cure and solution to this epidemic.

We pray for those afflicted
May they be restored to health soon.

Grant us the grace
To work for the good of all
And to help those in need.

Grant this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son,
Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
