A generous parishioner has donated their upright piano to the parish / school. JaNet has checked it out and Brother Dan Corral has volunteered to provide a vehicle to move it from a nearby home on Thursday 16th around 4 pm. He needs a few more volunteers to help with the relocation. Contact Dan for details at bacrating@gmail.com or 525-8833. It should be a quick move and make a nice difference to our St Michael students and parish Hall activities.

La Mesa Redonda held a very successful family retreat with well over 100 total attendees and an agenda of speakers who explored the concept of Building the Domestic Churc
h. Families enjoyed talks from Fr. Rafael Hinojosa, Seminarian Juan C Ponce and Christian Valdez about family dynamics and how the sacraments play an important role in family life and educating our children by example. On Sunday Fr. Arturo Bazan explained how the armor of God applies to the Sacrament of Marriage as one of two sacraments of vocation. T
he food was delicious, the music was uplifting and the faith was strong. Congratulations on a very successful first major event as the Mesa Redonda! It was truly inspirational.

Departed Brother - Richard Baumgart
|
Richard Baumgart passed away on August 6. A member of our council for 10 years, Rick was very generous with his time to support his community through the Knights and other organizations. His funeral mass was held Friday August 10 at St Michael Church and was attended by several Livermore Knights showing their appreciation for Rick's contribution to the council and support for his family. Rick will be missed by our council; may he rest in peace.
