Encouraging and equipping students for life and for eternity!
HOUSING NEEDED
Luther High School will be blessed to host another student teacher during the second semester. We are currently looking for a host family for a female student teacher. She will arrive around the end of February and will be with us through the second week of May. If you are interested in hosting a student teacher, please contact Mr. Engelbrecht at engejon@luther.k12.wi.us for further details.
VIRTUAL LEARNING
As we have gone through the year, students have seen the blessing and struggles of virtual learning. It’s a struggle when students have to quarantine for 7-14 days and attend virtually every day. It has been a blessing for students who have stayed home as a precaution because they were experiencing Covid symptoms but tested negative. They were able to attend class and not fall behind.

As we get into the second semester, I would like to refresh everyone’s understanding of what we are looking for virtual learning to accomplish at Luther. The expectation is that kids can attend virtually if in quarantine, feeling sick or demonstrating Covid symptoms, or choosing to go virtual for an extended period of time. We need to avoid the in-person one day and virtual the next and so on because a student just feels like staying home. It makes it extremely difficult to figure out who is going to be here each day and what our teachers should expect in their classrooms. Ultimately, we would love to see all 235 students in the building at the same time.
SCRIP REBATES
Families of seniors who have no other current or upcoming Luther students may request a check for the balance of their rebate account. This request must be made by February 28 and the checks will be issued in March.  If you do not wish to receive a distribution, you can designate a student to receive tuition credit.  If you do not request a distribution or designate a student by February 28, the credit will go to the general tuition assistance account. This change gives parents a chance to benefit from scrip purchases during the second half of their child’s junior year and the first half of senior year. As is currently the policy, if you have other Luther students or upcoming Luther students the rebates will be applied to those student’s tuition accounts. The distribution request must be made in writing and sent/left at the office at Luther or by email request to bergpegg@luther.k12.wi.us.
2021-2022 TUITION ASSISTANCE
One change for the 2021-2022 school year is the switch from TADS to FACTS as our tuition collection company. All financial aid forms and financial agreements for the upcoming school year will now be run through FACTS. If you would like to request tuition assistance for the 2021-2022 school year please remember to apply with FACTS by the February 15, 2021 deadline. Please click here to apply.
We are getting to that time of the year when parents need to reapply for School Choice. The application process opens up on February 1 and runs through April 15. Please click here to apply.
