Membership News
New Knights
Welcome to our 2 newest brother Knights, Daniel Montoya and Sergio Ramirez !!! Both joined us via a Spanish video ceremony last Sunday. Both are St. Michael parishioners and active member of the Hispanic Ministry.

They will both be welcome additions to our Mesa Redonda. Say hello and introduce yourself when you see him at church!
St. Michael Reopens for Masses on Friday June 19
The long wait is over! St. Michael Church will reopen for public masses starting this Friday, June 19. Each mass will be limited to 80 people to comply with the Alameda County social distancing guideline.

Click here to visit the St. Michael website for the new mass schedule and instructions to register and attend mass.

As noted in an earlier email and discussed at the business meeting, volunteers are needed to serve as ushers for each mass. Responsibilities include, greeting parishioners as they arrive, checking their names off the reservation list and escorting parishioners to their seats, etc.

Please contact Eric Hom at EricHom@StMichaelLivermore.com to sign up as an usher. This is one way to guarantee your spot at a mass that you want to attend! Ushers are included in the 80 person limit for each mass.
St. Charles Open for Communion on Sundays
While St. Charles is not yet open for public masses, the church is open for communion after the live-streamed 9:30am mass on Sundays.

Click here for a link to the St. Charles website for more details.
Beware of Phishing Emails
Following up on an email that was sent last Sunday, please be aware of the phishing email scams that have been going around. The latest versions even include information that makes it look like the email came through our Council's communication channels.

These emails pretend to be coming from our pastors, Fr. Carl or Fr. Kwame, asking you to reply for they have a favor to ask. When you reply, the sender then asks you to help him "urgently" by sending gift cards.

Always check the senders email address before you respond. This is the email address in the "From:" field and not any email address included in the body of the email.

If our clergy needed any "urgent" assistance, you can be assured that they will not do so by asking for gift cards via email and from an unknown email address.

If you need to contact our clergy, please do so using their official email addresses or by calling their respective parish offices.

Oratio Imperata
Prayer for Protection Against COVID-19
God our Father,
We come to you in our need
To ask your protection against the COVID-19 Virus,
That has claimed lives and has affected many.

We pray for your grace
For the people tasked with studying the nature and cause
Of this virus and its disease
And of stemming the tide of its transmission.
Guide the hands and minds of medical experts
That they may minister to the sick
With competence and compassion,
And of those governments and private agencies
That must find cure and solution to this epidemic.

We pray for those afflicted
May they be restored to health soon.

Grant us the grace
To work for the good of all
And to help those in need.

Grant this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son,
Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
