WELCOME NEW STUDENT TEACHER
Hello! My name is Emily Witkowski, I am a student teacher here at Luther for the next 10 weeks. I am from Saint Joseph MI, a small resort beach town. Going to the beaches is one of my favorite activities to do in the summer. I am a senior at Martin Luther College studying Secondary Social Studies with a minor in coaching. On-campus I participate in soccer and basketball, I just finished my senior seasons which was a bitter-sweet moment. In my free time, I enjoy running ½ marathons, reading, and taking photos. I graduate this May and Lord willing receive a call. I am engaged to Noah Panzer who graduated last May from MLC with a degree in Elementary Education. We are going to get married on June 26th in my hometown. I am very excited about my time here at Luther and hope to meet many new faces. I look forward to building relationships with the staff and student body that I have heard so many good things about. God’s Blessings!
CALL UPDATES
Mrs. Kayla Eisenmann has received a Call to St. Croix Lutheran Academy in St. Paul, MN to teach American Literature and AP Language & Composition. Please keep Mrs. Eisenmann in your prayers as she considers where she can best serve her Lord.
Miss Kathy Georgson returned the Call she had to teach 6th grade and Spanish at Holy Cross Lutheran School in Madison. We thank God for leading her to stay at Luther.

WIAA State Basketball Update
 
What an exciting few weeks we’ve enjoyed! What a blessing to playing in the WIAA State Tournament, right here in La Crosse this year.

Key Points for the Week
 
Thursday Pep Rally
  • We will have a pep rally beginning at 2:28 pm. This will be for STUDENTS ONLY.  We will live stream the event. Livestream Link
 
State T-shirt
  • Pick up your STATE Tournament t-shirt at Luther on Thursday (see tournament central for more details)
 
Game Tickets
  • Luther’s allotment of tickets has been sold out with the exception of 6 ADA seats (handicap accessible).
  • At 8:00 am Wednesday, March 3, the WIAA will release any unsold tickets that were allotted to The Prairie School.  Use the same link:  Tickets | DIVISION 4 The Prairie School vs. Luther - La Crosse, WI at Ticketmaster  No code should be necessary at that time.  If a code is requested use the word: GOLD.
  • At this time, about 125 students have tickets.   There is a waiting list of about 10 students still looking for a ticket.  If you have an extra ticket, please contact the athletic office.
 
While at the Game:
  • Sit in only ticketed seats (No seating in the “zip-tied” seats.)
  • Doors open at 8:30 am.  Enter through the VISITOR ENTRANCE only.
  • Masks are required and must be worn over the nose and mouth.
  • At the conclusion of the game, all fans must leave the facility within 15 minutes. There will be no meeting with players while at the venue.
  • Cheer loud and LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
 
Parking
  • Plan ahead for parking. See the tournament central link for how you can reserve and pay for your parking in advance. Local teams who have already played have indicated doing this is a GREAT time saver!
 
Championship Game Tickets
  • With a win vs. The Prairie School, the boys will play for the STATE TITLE at 6:35 pm Friday evening.
  • The code to purchase tickets for this game will be distributed to fans on-site as they leave the La Crosse Center.

CUSTODIAN POSITION
A full-time custodian position (Monday-Friday/2nd shift/40 hours per week) is available at Luther High School. Compensation is $14-$17/hour based on experience, with benefits. FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR POSITION
Luther High School has an opening for the position of Food Service Director. The position averages 12-15 hours per week and compensation is $12.66/hour. For additional information please contact Jon Engelbrecht at 608-783-5435

TASTE PASSPORT BOOK
To continue providing financial support for extra programs and projects that inspire teachers and students in Onalaska schools, the Onalaska Education Foundation is selling Taste Passport Books for $50. The passport book provides supporters with over $300 in discounts and the opportunity to travel and taste delicious food from over 30 participating restaurants all around the Coulee Region! The offers are only valid from March 1, 2021 - April 30, 2021. Here are a few of the included restaurants: David Reays, Fayze's, HuHot Mongolian Grill, Angelini's Pizzeria & Ristorante, Nutbush City Limits, Texas Roadhouse, and The Crow. There are too many to list! Most of the coupons are a buy one/get one free item. Luther High School has been given a few passport books to sell. Please stop by if interested.
