Deputy Grand Knight
The Deputy Grand Knight position has been open in our slate of officers for a few months now. That is no longer the case. Our Worthy Lecturer and Faith Director, Brother Morry Aufderheide has agreed to become our next Deputy Grand Knight!

We will officially vote and have him installed at our November business meeting.

Drive Thru BBQ Fundraiser

NEW DEADLINE TO ORDER IS ON OCTOBER 19

The first BBQ Dinner distribution on October 10 was cancelled and all orders will instead be consolidated with the next distribution on October 24.

We will be pre-selling BBQ dinners for drive-thru pick up on October 24. Dinners are $25 each and you get a choice of 2 meats (beef tips, chicken or pull pork) and it comes with 3 sides.

Free Grocery Distribution & Drive Thru Prayer
The next Free Grocery and Drive Thru Prayer offered by the Community Care Ministry will be this weekend,

All Knights and families are invited to come and help with the preparations and distribution of the groceries.

Additional help is especially needed for set up and clean-up/take down on Saturday.

Here's a schedule of activities:

Thursday, October 15, 2pm-5pm at the Large Hall -- Grocery Packing
Friday, October 16, 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Large Hall - Grocery Packing
Saturday, October 17:
7:30am-9:00am - School Yard - Set Up
8:45am - 11:00am - School Yard - Grocery Distribution and Drive Thru Prayer
10:30am - 11:45pm - School yard/Large Hall - Take down and clean up

Perspective
A prayer during this pandemic
May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.

May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.

May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.

May we who have to cancel our trips
Remember those that have no place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our family, friends and neighbors.
