We needed to postpone the pancake breakfast for Coats for Kids - new date will be provided (along with the SignUp Genius) in next weeks Knightly News.
Family Rosaries

The third Knights rosary will be this week on Thursday, at 6:30 pm in the St Michael courtyard. We will pray for Life, Patricia Wiesner and any other intentions you would like to offer.

Help Wanted - we need a few more families to lead! Let's fill the courtyard and pray together before the business meeting. Dress warmly if it is cold again this week!
Pastor Installation for Father Carl Arcosa
Where: St Michael Catholic Church

Reception to follow in Large Hall

Gather to give thanks to God for sending us our new pastor and co-chaplain, Fr Carl Arcosa, at his installation Mass.

Father Lawrence D’Anjou will preside.

The Knights will help with set up and will provide drinks for the reception. Please sign up to help below.
Student Essay Contest deadline approaching





Description: Student Essay Contest

If your child / grandchild has not done their essay yet...time to remind them...

4th Grade Topic:  “Ways I share My Time, Talents and Treasures at Home, School, and in My Church Community” 
5th Grade Topic:  “In my life, who have been my Spiritual Role Models and Why?” 
6th Grade Topic:  “How do I live Jesus’ Teaching, “To Love Thy Neighbor?” 
7th Grade Topic:  “How My Catholic / Christian School Education has influenced My Personal Values”
8th-12th Grade Topic: " How does your family keep its Catholic Faith in Action?

For grades 4-7, essays need to be 250 - 500 words. for 8-12th grade essays should be 500-750 words.

REMINDER: with all these essays, we will need judges to read the essays and determine winners...sign up below.
Baby Gift Drive

We will be collecting gifts for babies on 10/27 and 10/28 at both parishes. We need some volunteers to collect the gifts before and after masses at both parishes. Sign up to come a little early to mass and help out - it is a fun collection event.

Recent Events
Fraternal Night

Fraternal was a great success. Food, folks and fun. Special thanks to brother John Christman for the music, Brother Chuck for the fire pit, Brother Tom for the slide show, Brothers Lucas and Jason for seasoning/grilling the steaks cut so perfectly by brother Lou, brother Bob for manning the bar, The Cave for the cigars and especially to the Catholic Daughters for such a great setting and food! Can't wait until the next one!
Christmas Gift Program
Things are getting moving for the annual Christmas Basket program. Forms have being submitted electronically (new this year) and are being processed now. As we move forward, we will need a number of people to help with the execution of this effort to bring Christmas joy to those in our community who are in need. Please watch for the SignUp Genius soon.

Some of the custom embroidered shirts were distributed this week. If you would like a limited run "2018 CA Council of the Year" cut-n-sewn shirts that can be embroidered with your name (and title, if you like). You can email me with you order - just send your name, phone number and how you want your name on the shirt. Price is $30. There are some "2018 CA Council ..." Shirts without names that you can purchase as well ($30).
