Recent Events
Charitable Donations
We continued our distribution of charitable donations at the October business meeting. This month we make presentations to RCIA, Shepherds' Gate, Open Heart Kitchen and the Columbian Home. More to come (or go as the case may be).
Cycling for Veterans Event - 10/6 LPCC
The LPCC Veteran's event was a great success. Lots o' burgers were grilled up by Livermore Knights over at LPCC much to the happiness of participants in the Cycle and Walk event on Saturday. Brothers Jason Seberger and Luke Sison are shown manning the grill and enjoying some apple cider (?). Thanks to Brother Carl Biscevic for grill transportation and coordination and to Brother Todd Steffan for coordination of such a great event.
Formation and Knighthood Degrees
We had 5 brothers from Livermore, and a total 32 brothers from the area, come join us for the Formation and Knighthood Ceremonies that were held this Saturday in the Large Hall. It was a great turnout and a fast-paced day of reflecting on the meaning of the Knights of Columbus mission and the universal messages included in the ceremonies. If you missed it, keep an eye out for announcements of the next ceremonies in the area.
Tootsie Roll Drive
Brother Jim Gagliardi led another successful Tootsie Roll Drive. With the combined efforts of over 20 brothers during the two days, we were able to raise more than $2600 that will all go towards helping the intellectually challenged.
My sincere apologies for a mistake that I made my message a couple of days ago - the Tootsie Roll campaign dedication was to our Tootsie Roll champion - Rick Baumgart. Be sure to congratulate Jim and his team on a job well done (and ask if he has any more Tootsie Rolls!!). Rick would be proud.

Stained Glass Windows into our History

If you missed the tour, now you can watch a great video produced by Brother Knight Marshall Kamena!

Livermore history, the art contained within century-old stain glass windows, and the anniversary of St Michael’s Church are the subjects of the latest edition of  About the Tri-Valley.  Dr. Barbara Mitchell, a distinguished art historian, connects all this with the early families and their present day Tri-Valley descendants. Learn about the critical times and pioneering people who founded the Livermore Valley. These original religious art works have quite a story on Tri-Valley Community Television on Channel 30 and Video-on-Demand at  tv30.org
Prayer through the Car Window
If you have not heard - St Michael Church is adding a new ministry - DRIVE THROUGH PRAYER service. This is a great chance to share your faith and help those in need of a little spiritual help. The two links are for a descriptive flyer and a website with more information and the ability to sigh up.
Website and Facebook help needed

I still need a brother Knight to step up and help with our website and /or Facebook. We now use the modern WordPress platform and our Facebook account has a growing follower base.

Contact me ([email protected]) or John Robinson ([email protected]) if you can help. It is a great opportunity to help spread the word about our activities and to gain experience as well.
