Honoring 60 Years of Service
Last Sunday a group of Knights led by WGK Walter and Chaplain Fr. Ryan visited SK Dick Epp and Lady Lindy.

SK Dick was presented with a Lifetime Achievement award recognizing his 60 years of faithful and loyal service to the Knights. He has served in various leadership positions including Financial Secretary, Deputy Grand Knight and District Deputy. He is a constant fixture in all our events and a regular at adoration until Covid shut thing down. He is also a long time member of the Honor Guard.

Sadly, this is brother Dick and Lady Lindy's last week here in Livermore. They are moving to El Paso, TX next week. They will surely be missed but always loved.
A Message from Brother SK Dick Epp
Fellow Knights,

It has been a privilege to participate in Council 4588 a second time for the past 5-6 years. Lindy and I are leaving at the end of September, moving to El Paso, TX to be near family and have the help Lindy needs now and I may in the future.

Because of the Covid-19. I didn't get to see a lot of you guys before we leave, but that doesn't mean we wont miss you, especially the cooking crew. Our best wishes and prayers are with all of you as we depart.

Thank you all for the great years together.

Lindy and Dick

7 Steps to Retirement Security Seminar
Thanks to our Worthy Field Agent, Brother Paul Morasutti and the Gutierrez Agency for hosting the "Don't Worry, Retire Happy" webinar.. The speaker, Tom Hegna, was quite dynamic and presented a lot of good material with brilliant insights on planning for retirement.

Thanks to everyone who attended too. Hopefully you learned some new things or at least picked up some ideas that you haven't quite thought of before. Feel free to contact our brother FA Paul if you have any questions about the topics presented in the webinar.

Perspective
A prayer during this pandemic
May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.

May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.

May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.

May we who have to cancel our trips
Remember those that have no place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our family, friends and neighbors.

Amen.
