Christmas Gifts / Coats for Kids Distribution
|
Distribution Date - December 15th
St Michael Large Hall
This is the annual Livermore Knights of Columbus program to bring Christmas gifts to those families in need in our Livermore community. We will distribute gifts to families and complete the Coats for Kids distribution in the St Michael Large Hall. We have many families that we will support this year.
Please make plans to get your donations to the council business meeting on Thursday or to the pancake breakfast (or you can give the donation to an officer). We will have credit card readers at the business meeting and pancake breakfast if you prefer to pay with a credit card. Your support will make this event a success.
We will also have the lists of items needed for purchase and families that can be adopted at the business meeting if you would like to sign up to make those purchases or adoptions.
We will need a few Knights to receive presents into the trailers between 12/9 and 12/14. We will have a few hours that we will want to man each day...watch for signup this week! This signup will also include information about the wrapping and sorting activities on 12/14 and 12/15.
Note: We will not be including food in the Christmas Baskets this year. You might ask why...In light of the tragedy of the Camp Fire, we elected to solicit support of the parish for donations to the fire victims. The support was wonderful, as expected - $30K in cash and good in a 6-hour collection. However, as part of that decision, we decided we would need to scale back expectations for this program and the best solution was to remove the food expense. We know some love this portion of the activities and hope you understand.

4th Degree Exemplification Signup Now Open
|
|
All 3rd degree Knights! You should SignUp for the upcoming 4th degree exemplification to be held in Rohnert Park on February 2nd. This is the best of the four membership ceremonies and closes out the 4th pillar of our Order - Patriotism. The event happens once per year in Rohnert Park and is the best way to become a Sir Knight. Applications will be available at the business meeting this Thursday.
Note: For those new members who are 1st degree Knights, you have an excellent opportunity to complete all three remaining degrees in a short time frame because a 2nd/3rd degree will be happening in Dublin on January 12th. It would be perfect to attend the 2nd/3rd degree in January and the 4th degree on February 4th.

The time for dues notices is approaching. You should expect notices in December from our worthy
Financial Secretary, Brian Littrell.
Thank you to everyone that replied to our inquiry about how you would like notices delivered. We will be saving a reasonable amount of money as a result of your replies. If you did not reply already, and you just want an email notice, you need to email Brian soon.
Thank you in advance for your prompt payment.
In fact, you can probably pay Brian this Thursday at the business meeting and save yourself the cost of a stamp!
