Paladin’s Prayer

The liturgy continues to present the Resurrection accounts and the events surrounding the formation and growth of the early Church. One thing that strikes us is how confidently Peter and the other disciples of Jesus proclaimed the kerygma even though they were essentially the same weak individuals that abandoned Jesus as he was suffering His Passion. Clearly they had been emboldened by the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The post-Resurrection message of Jesus is clear: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations." It would have been more comfortable for the disciples of Jesus to remain in the Upper Room with each other, like-minded people, comfortable in their little bubble. But Jesus needs us to joyfully and confidently bring the Good News to the world! 

Is there some way Jesus may be calling you to step out of the comfort zone of your world to encounter someone else?

Congratulations to Joseph A'Hearn, Everest Class of 2002, who will graduate with his PhD in Physics from the University of Idaho on May 14! His research has been about planets, rings, and moons in the outer solar system. Joseph completed his undergrad in Physics & Philosophy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He recently moved from Idaho to Olympia, WA with his wife and two sons: Owen (2) and Titus (4 months). We wish Joseph a prosperous career and may God bless their family!

Crusade for a Cause - '22 Spring Appeal

As of 05/05/2022...

In our twenty-six years, we have touched the hearts and minds of thousands of young students and families. We couldn’t do this without you! We are currently blessed with a hundred and ninety-four students and twenty-seven faculty and staff members.

$2.2M annually covers teacher/staff salaries, facilities, programming, student aid, utilities, and other overhead costs. Under the current structure, tuition and fees cover 77% of the total budget. As such, we depend heavily on several fundraising activities to close the gap of 23%.

We inform you that our Spring Appeal budgeted goal this year is $75,000. Gifts made to this appeal will provide the direct means to meet our annual operating costs for this year and sustain our daily mission in all of its manifestation for our students.
