Old School Continues To Teach The New School: “It is all about the buckets!”
January 15, 2022
After a two year hiatus the Alumni Basketball Game found its way back to the “Castle” just in time for the 25th anniversary of Dominion Christian School. This game was one of the more exciting and challenging games. The “Old School” team went to battle with just six players on their roster, yet still managed to pull out a 68 to 54 victory over the, almost full roster, “New School” Team.
Isaiah Primus (2003), looked true to form as he led all scorers with 23 points and slew of rebounds and steals. Brad Robbins (2000), scored 14 points, while finding the fountain of youth going from one end of the court to the other. Michael “Microwave” Hannah (2009) hit five 3's (four in a row), to light up the score board and help lead the “Old School” Team to victory.
“Old Man” River Schorr (2019) led the “New School” Team, with 13 points. Cole Anton (2020) contributed 10 points while maintaining his reputation for sneaker “drip!” This was truly a festive evening with raffled give aways, barbecue, fellowship, and a token of appreciation for all former players.
We wanted to give a shout out to all volunteers and a gesture of thanks for the hard work that everyone put into the evening. We can’t wait till next year!
Once A Knight, Always A Knight!
