📚 Scholastic Book Fair Next Week – March 9-12

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Family of Christ!

📅 March 9–12

⏰ 8 AM – 3 PM

Students will have the opportunity to choose their own books and grow as bold, proud readers. Every purchase benefits our school!

If you can’t attend in person, you can shop online and have books shipped directly to your home (free shipping on orders over $25). Online purchases also support our school.

🚓 Safety Day for VPK & Kindergarten – March 13

Our Safety Day is back and set to be our best one yet!

On Friday, March 13 from 9–11 AM, our VPK and Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Rescue.

Students will get to see emergency vehicles, meet real 911 dispatchers, and even interact with a Police K9 while learning important safety lessons and having their questions answered.

📍 Location: CDC and Building 2

👕 Dress-Up: Students are invited to wear their favorite first responder costume (no props please).

💧 Water Bottles Reminder

As the weather begins to warm up, please make sure your students bring a water bottle to school each day. Staying hydrated helps students stay focused and energized throughout the school day.

👕 K-8 Dress Code Update – Cold Weather Clothing

As the weather warms up, our cold-weather clothing period officially ended on February 27.

Cold-weather clothing is only permitted if the temperature is below 60° when leaving the house. Thank you for helping us keep students comfortable and in proper uniform as we head into the spring months.

Uniform Shirts

FOC-logo polos in navy, burgundy, or white

Bottoms

Navy, khaki, black, or plaid (must fit properly)

No sweatpants

Length Guidelines

• Girls’ shorts/skorts: 5" inseam
• Girls’ skirts: no more than 6" above the knee
• Boys’ shorts: 7" inseam

Outerwear

School-approved sweaters/jackets or solid color jackets or sweaters

Socks/Tights

Solid navy, khaki, white, black, or gray

Shoes

Closed-toe shoes only

(No glitter, lights, characters, sandals, crocs, or heels over 1")

Spirit Wear

Spirit shirts and black shorts on Fridays or other designated spirit days.

🚗 K-8 Early Release on March 13 - Aftercare Available

There will be an early release at 11:45 AM on Friday, March 13.


For families who need additional care on the early release day Friday, March 13, we will offer afternoon care as needed for $25 per child.

If your child will need care that afternoon, please email Vicki Thompson at vthompson@familyofchrist.org to reserve a spot.
