A Dyslexic Kid by Genia Batson

In the early years, it’s difficult to see the potential of a kid with dyslexia, but consider this....

A dyslexic kid invented the light bulb. A dyslexic kid invented the telephone. Two dyslexic kids invented the airplane. A dyslexic kid developed the Theory of Relativity.

A dyslexic kid created Ford. A dyslexic kid created Apple. A dyslexic kid created Microsoft. A dyslexic kid created Virgin Airlines & Records. A dyslexic kid created Disney.

A dyslexic kid created Jet Blue. A dyslexic kid created Shark Tank. A dyslexic kid painted “The Mona Lisa”. A dyslexic kid painted “Guernica”. A dyslexic kid wrote the song “Imagine”. A dyslexic kid wrote “The 5th Symphony”. A dyslexic kid helped write The Declaration of Independence.

Dyslexic kids were Presidents of the United States. A dyslexic kid was the Prime Minister of England. Dyslexic kids were US Generals.

A dyslexic kid directed “ET”. A dyslexic kid starred in “Top Gun”.

A dyslexic kid starred in “The Matrix” and “John Wick”. A dyslexic kid was “Spider Man”. A dyslexic kid was The Fonz. A dyslexic kid was a good ‘friend’ named Rachel Green.

A dyslexic kid became one of the greatest mystery writers of all time.

A dyslexic kid wrote the Captain Underpaints & Dog Man series. A dyslexic kid was the greatest boxer in the history of boxing. A dyslexic kid was the greatest baseball player in the history of baseball. A dyslexic kid is best known for his role as Karl in “Sling Blade”.

A dyslexic kid was a professional bodybuilder who became The Terminator, then became the Governor of California.

Dyslexic kids became Olympians.

Dyslexic kids won Grammys. A dyslexic kid was a dual inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the lead singer of Black Sabbath and a solo artist and sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

A dyslexic kid…

Early identification and intervention are the keys to reaching that potential.

See their possibilities, not just their difficulties.

Happy Dyslexia Awareness Month!
