Knight of the Year
The 2016-17 Knight of the Year is none other than Tim Shearer.  Tim has been responsible for the spirited atmosphere the Council has enjoyed for many years.  He has spent countless hours preparing for many events, shopping for the spirited beverages and soft drinks from Pinehurst to Fayetteville, always meeting budgeted projections.
Tim always made himself available and is well deserving of this recognition.  Thanks, Tim for your dedication to the Council and it's spirited success.
Recognition Dinner For Brother Knights
Our Worthy Grand Knight, Walter Dworak, did a fantastic job along with Chef  Wayne Crawford in preparing the prime rib dinner.  There were about 40 Knights that enjoyed the delicious fixings, including dessert and spirited beverages.
Adopt-A-Child Party
The annual party for exceptional children was held Tuesday, May 9.  This year the parties have been divided between the older and younger children.  The older ones in May and the younger ones in December.
The May 9 party involved 6 schools from which 55 children were invited.  All the children received a gift, pizza, drink and donuts.
Brother Knights were a big help to make the party a success.  A special word of thanks must be given to Brother Carl Kauer who gave much time and assistance to assure the success of the event.  Also to Jack Heerema who has supported the event for many years.
