Summer Tweeds for

a Summer Top

Which Color is for You?

Soft gold to wear from summer to fall?

Pink berry to wear with white linen crop pants?

Sky blue to pair with jeans?

We like how these tweeds bring snap and snazz to a basic t-shirt pattern. The knitting will go fast and you'll be strutting your fashion stuff in a new hand knit before the summer's days are here.

Sueno Tweed is a variation of HiKoo's popular Sueno yarn, a blend of merino super wash and bamboo viscose. Sueno knits up fast on US #3-7 needles and has great yardage -- 255 yards to a 100 gram hank.

Use our Throwback Tee pattern, a top down raglan t-shirt design, and you'll get a sweater out of 4-5 skeins.

Our TBTee (Throwback Tee) pattern has lots of photos, tips for sizing, and a chart that you check off as you knit the yoke. There's a counting method that makes increasing almost foolproof AND you can try on this sweater as you knit -- an awesome feature of top down knitting.

Throwback Tee

by Graywood Designs

Friends, I wanted a short sleeve sweater that was easy to knit, easy to fit, and didn't take a long time to finish. That's why I chose a DK weight yarn, a raglan approach, and didn't fancy this pattern up with a lot of extras.

My design uses a US #6 needle for Sueno's DK weight. While the pattern calls for 3-4 skeins for all the sizes, buy an extra skein as insurance. Then you can adjust the sleeve or body length if you choose to do so.

This garment is meant to have 0-2 inches of ease. Because it is knit top down and because all the sizes start with the same number of stitches, you can chose your size as you knit.

I invite you to knit my TBTee for yourself this summer!

Happy knitting,

Wanda Eichler
