Cool weather? Knit a hat!

I walk every day in this spring weather here in Michigan, but the wind is chilly and some evenings are really damp. So I need a warm hat!

Canyon Walk Hat is a great choice and a quick knit. It's my latest design and is knit with a worsted weight yarn on a US #7 needle. This hat pattern uses less than a skein of most worsted weight yarns.

I wrote the pattern with ribbing that uses a smaller size needle (US #5) so you get a snug fit around the ears. After the ribbing is done, you switch to a larger needle and knit 36 rows of pattern which is reversible.

We knit samples in three different yarns that make the stitch pattern stand out in accordion type folds. It's pretty cool!

The pattern is a $6 download from our website. It is also available on Ravelry.com.
