Borate Treatments
What You Need to Know
What are they?
A borate treatment is an odorless liquid termite application that works as a curative as well as a preventative for all wood destroying organisms such as drywood or subterranean termites, powder post beetles, old house borers, carpenter bees, etc.

It is a safer treatment than traditional termite treatments, as they consist of a mineral salt derivative as opposed to the harsh chemicals used in other treatments.
What Does a Borate Treatment Do?
As a long-term wood preservative, it remains in the wood for its lifespan under proper conditions.

It can also cure and prevent wood rot and wood decaying fungi.
Signs to Keep an Eye Out For
Usual termite signs include swarming, discarded wings, termite droppings, soft spots or open galleries in wood, or bubbling or peeling paint.
We recommend taking care of any termite issues as soon as you notice them, as it is much better to prevent than to cure any issues.
If you are noticing any of these signs or have any concerns please call or email our office or visit our website.
