On Saturday, October 7, a special workday will be held at the NicaWorks Bike Barn located at 25675 Gum Spring Rd, Aldie, VA. The barn has been a wonderful site for collecting, preparing, and shipping bikes to the ministry in Nicaragua. There will be a wide variety of jobs to choose from during the workday, including:
-
Barn Maintenance- Several repairs need to be done to the barn. Some involve carpentry.
-
Bike Repair- Some experience with tools will be helpful in repairing broken bikes.
-
Bike Movement- About 800 bikes need to be rolled from points A to B to C as we are doing a major rearrangement of the facility. Anyone from age 10 and over can be very helpful.
Along with dirty hands, these workdays are always filled with fun and fellowship. Your help will be greatly appreciated! NicaWorks will happily sign any documents for youth doing this for community service hours.
Workers can come during whatever portion of the day they like. Lunch will be provided. A notice will go out prior to the workday regarding specific tools and supplies we need. Please contact Glenn Keller if interested.
