BUSINESS MEETING

THIS SUNDAY

SEPTEMBER 22

We are coming to the close of our current fiscal year which ends on September 30th. The staff, finance committee, and elders have been evaluating budget options for the coming fiscal year starting October 1st. You should have received an email with links to a letter from Bob Thomas, Elder Chair, and Chris Ayers, Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair, providing a comprehensive summary of the new budget recommendation. Within the letter, you’ll also find a link to a document containing information related to our coming loan refinancing. Hard copies of the emailed information are available in the foyer. Please join us for the Annual Business Meeting - Discussion & Approval of FY 2025 Budget after the service on September 22.

PRESCHOOL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY

FOR THIS MONDAY

We have an amazing preschool community here at Knollwood! Our weekday preschool program welcomes roughly 80 families from the community each week. As a way to love this community and make stronger connections between the church and preschool, we are hosting a brunch of all Moms of Littles Ones (MOLOs) on Monday, September 23rd at 9:30 a.m.

If you'd like to be involved in this outreach opportunity, there are two ways to help! Donate food (see link below) or volunteer to help with childcare (email Katie at katie@knoll.org).

THE CHURCH, CULTURE,

AND POLITICS

BEGINS OCTOBER 13

Are you afraid to talk about politics with your family, with your neighbors, and with folks at church? If so, why is that? Over the course of five Sunday mornings in October and November, participants will discuss key questions with the goal of making it safe to talk about faith and politics in the same sentence. Course leader, Ben O'Dell, will be using a curriculum developed by the Center for Christian Civics. Click the button below to RSVP.

CHURCH WORKDAY

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19

8:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.

We'll trim trees and bushes, clean up beds, get rid of weed growth around fences and enclosures, and anything else we can find to do. If you have long pole saws/hedge trimmers, weed wackers, a power washer or other landscaping equipment you think would be useful, please feel free to bring them along. There will also be an opportunity to help Katie Conaway, our Kids Ministry Director, organize the materials and supplies of the Kid's Ministry.

CHILDCARE WORKERS NEEDED

Our church is growing! One of our biggest needs right now is help with childcare at various Bible Studies, Community Groups, and Outreach events throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering at one of these stand alone events, or working as a paid childcare provider on a more regular basis (must be 18 years or older!) please reach out to Katie Conaway (Katie@knoll.org). This is a fantastic way to serve the families of our church!

MISSION TRIP

TO NICARAGUA!

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming mission trip to Nicaragua from January 19-25, 2025! We will be partnering with NicaWorks! and other local churches to be the hands and feet of Jesus, providing vital medical assistance and support to the people of Nicaragua. This mission trip offers many roles and is open to anyone who feels called to serve, especially those without a medical background. If you’re interested in joining us, please reach out to Glenn Keller or Bryan Hill. The deadline to sign up is November 1, 2024, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a lasting impact through Christ’s love! Copies of the Mission Trip Manual are available in the foyer.
