It’s that time of year again when we start decorating for Christmas! This year we’d love to have some more decorators. We’ll tell you what to do; you don’t have to be creative! Refreshments will be provided. Email David Oakley if you’d like to help!

Join us for a Hot Cocoa Bar with all of the trimmings: marshmallows, chocolate, whipped cream, and more. We’ll have chocolate dipped marshmallows and chocolate sticks for dipping. Invite a friend to join you and stick around after the service!

There will be a special holiday collection on December 3rd and 10th in support of the food pantry at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church: flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, vegetable oil, and raisins. Please drop these items in the donation boxes outside of the Worship Center in December. Email Glenn Keller with any questions.

On December 10th, right after the 10:30 a.m. worship service, we will have a petting Zoo. This is the perfect opportunity to invite friends and family! You can feed the animals carrots, pet them, and take some great pictures. There will be a camel, a sheep, a lamb, and more. There will also be lots of tasty cookies! Thank you to the many chefs, bakers, and volunteers who made this year’s Chili Cook-Off so much fun!! Special thanks to the judges who had to taste-test 20 chilis and 22 desserts. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it! We had a great time sharing chili and dessert, playing games, and just enjoying time together. Congratulations to our 2023 winners: Jim Spencer with his sweet, hot, and smoky Caliente y Ahumado Chili, Mary Jensen with her Raspberry Chocolate Cream Pie, and Brea O’Dell with her Kinder & Nutella Stuffed Brownies. See you all next year!
