COMMUNION THIS SUNDAY
September 19
We will be taking communion on Sunday, September 19. Communion not only reminds us of Jesus’ suffering to forgive our sins but also shows us the amount of love he had for us. If you’re watching virtually, you can gather your own elements to partake at home.
PRAY & INVITE CHALLENGE
Commit by THIS Sunday, September 19
IDENTIFY 5 people that need the life-changing message of Jesus.

PRAY for them every day during the month of September, asking God to open their hearts to the gospel.

INVITE them to attend our October message series when we will tell people how they can begin a relationship with God through Christ.

Email us your 5 people so that we can be praying along with you!
IMPORTANT MAILING
SENT FROM KNOLLWOOD
You should have received a letter in the mail from our leaders. Please take time to read it entirely and respond accordingly. If you haven’t received the letter, please contact kathryn@knoll.org.
THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE
“Even When We’re Afraid”
Sharing Christ with others can be scary. We fear things like rejection and perhaps being asked questions we can’t answer. In this message we will explore what hope Jesus offers us and why we should share Christ in spite of our fears.
KIDS THROUGH GRADE 6
Pre-Register for September 19
Please note that some class ages have shifted, so take note when registering. If there are no spots left in a class you need, email Ben Foster.
SUNDAY YOUTH MEETINGS

KSM Is a place for teenagers to gather together with their peers to learn about Jesus and to have fun while doing it. All students gather together at 4:00 p.m. and then split into a group for middle school students (7th-8th grade) and a group for high school students (9th-12th grade). Email Ben Foster with any questions.
REASONABLE FAITH
FIRST CLASS: SEPTEMBER 26
10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Center (Grades 7-12)
The goal of this monthly Sunday class is to connect students to truths that will protect a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ in a world of increasing skepticism. We’ll discuss the logical evidence for God, the saving work of Jesus Christ, the accuracy of the Bible, as well as highlighting how the Gospel provides answers to life’s most difficult and most important questions. Email Ben Foster with any questions.
EVANGELISM TRAINING
Saturday, September 25

Sharing your faith doesn’t have to be scary. All it takes is being prepared to give a reason for the hope that you have. We’ll talk about how to share your faith through your testimony and how to communicate the gospel effectively to anyone. Email Moises if you’re interested.
PRAYER SERVICE
Sunday, September 26
During the Worship Service
On Sunday, September 26, we are going to devote our morning service to prayer and worship. Pastor Chris will give a devotional to lead us into our prayer time. We will be praying for our community and our Fall outreach efforts. This will be one of the most significant and rewarding services of the year. You don’t want to miss it!
CHURCH BUSINESS MEETING

Our annual congregational business meeting to vote on the Operating Budget will be held after the Worship Service on Sunday, September 26. FAMILY MAGIC SHOW
Sunday, October 3
Immediately Following Church
Our very own Moises Altamirano will be presenting a magic show with tricks and illusions for kids and adults. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to church on Sunday so they can stay after for the magic show! Email Moises with any questions.
BURKE PRAYER WALK
“It was AWESOME!”
On Wednesday evening, a group of our Knollwood family gathered to prayer walk around the Woods, Ponds, and Landings neighborhoods. Afterwards, we came back together to share our experiences over milk and cookies. It was an encouraging time to pray for those in our surrounding community and we are excited to see how God uses it! We can’t wait to do it again!
GOOD NEWS JAIL & PRISON
-MINISTRY UPDATE-
A letter excerpt from Vic & Sue-bee, Fairfax County ADC: Recently, a young man came to my office to talk. In a few short weeks, he will be sentenced. He may receive quite a bit of time. He was filled with anxiety. He needed hope and encouragement. So we turned to God’s Word, prayed together, listened to a powerful worship song, and he left. What a privilege it is to point men to Christ, who gives them strength for today and hope for tomorrow! Please keep praying.
