This session examines 4 different sets of hardware/interfaces that are available through the ETC Lending Library that make iPads switch accessible. Participants are presented with a step-by-step process to program an iPad for Single Switch (cause and effect), Two Switch Scanning, Utilizing Standard Recipes, creating Custom Gestures, and even creating Custom Recipes for 3+ Switch access.

Colleges and universities are continually strengthening their support services and resources, partially because of recent improvements in digital technologies but also because the number of people with disabilities attending college has increased.

Advancing Opportunities Technology Lending Center is a free service available to all New Jersey residents to borrow assistive technology equipment. Assistive Technology Reimbursement for Schools Program
for the 2021-2022 School Year
|
|
The Assistive Technology Reimbursement (ATR) Program provides school districts with assistance in procuring appropriate assistive technology (AT) for students with disabilities. This program is open to students in grades K-12 who are on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and attend one of the following: a Missouri public school, a Missouri charter school, or a Missouri School for the Severely Disabled (MSSD).
Assistive Technology must be identified in the student’s IEP with a total cost between $350 and $5,000. Examples of devices and systems include, but are not limited to: electronic enlarging devices, personal listening systems, augmentative communication devices, alternative keyboards, pointing devices, speech recognition software, text-to-speech software, tablets, and laptops.
