with the Help of Missouri Assistive Technology's

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM

Missouri Assistive Technology is once again offering the Assistive Technology Reimbursement Program (ATR). This program provides reimbursement to school districts for assistive technology purchased to help students to meet their IEP goals.

We are in the process of adding all documents, as well as video instructions, to our website and our YouTube Channel. If you would like the documents emailed directly to you, please contact Laura Hoffman at lhoffman@mo-at.org.

Eligible students:

Must be K-12, State School, or in the Charter School System.
Have an IEP that lists a diagnosis under IDEA.
Must have the need for assistive technology listed in the Special Considerations section of their IEP.
Must complete a trial of the assistive technology for which the reimbursement is being requested.

All applicants:

Must submit a MoAT Assistive Technology Reimbursement Application. This form may be typed, or completed in blue or black ink.
Must submit the Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Function Performance Section of the student's IEP.
Must submit the Special Considerations Section of the student's IEP, which clearly states that assistive technology will support the student's completion of the IEP goals.
Must submit an ATR Itemized Price sheet.

NEW THIS YEAR, once a grant is approved, the applicant will have 90 days from the date of approval to submit all required paid invoices for reimbursement. Failure to do so will relinquish funds to support the approval of the applications of other students.

Grants for Mounting Systems

BlueSky Designs recently received a kind donation of money to purchase mounting systems (excluding Pow!r Mounts) to donate to individuals who do not have the financial funding to purchase their own. Missouri Assistive Technology has been asked to share this information with those that may benefit. To apply, complete and submit the attached online APPLICATION. Direct all questions to info@blueskydesigns.us.

Qualifying recipients must be willing to provide photos, videos and testimonials as part of BlueSky's GoFundMe campaign, They hope to raise enough money to donate 50 Mount’n Mover systems to people in need. We are also asking that recipients help spread the word about the fundraiser to their network and social media outlets.

Mounting and Device Positioning

This training will follow the format of the previous Boot Camp Training. Those individuals that are registered by August 28, will receive necessary equipment for a two week loan. The break down of the training will be as follows:

Monday, September 14, 2020 from 3:00-4:00 pm - Boot Camp will begin with a 1 hour introduction and overview via a Zoom Metting.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020 - Online independent learning activities on Blutooth and Wired Interfaces will be shared via our Youtube Channel.

Wednesday, September 16, 2020 - Online independent learning activities on Blutooth and Wired Interfaces, iOS 13 Switch Recipes, Mounting, and Device Positioning will be shared via our Youtube Channel.

Thursday, September 17, 2020 - Online independent learning activities on Keyboards, Tracking Devices, and Keyguards will be shared via our Youtube Channel.

Friday, September 18, 2020 from 3:00-4:00 pm - Boot Camp will wrap-up with a 1 hour question and answer session, as well as a tour of the ETC Lending Library at MoAT.
